Recognising that there are dangers in the work that we do, we are committed to taking every practical step to provide a working environment that minimises incidents of risk or personal injury, ill health or damage to property. With this in mind, KIER is working hard to be compliant with the AS4801 Occupational Health and Safety and ISO14001 Environmental accreditation standards. KIER will ensure primary care and rehabilitation for employees having a work related injury or illness, compensable in accordance with the Worker's Compensation and Rehabilitation Legislation of Western Australia.
KIER operates a management system which ensures our operations comply with the relevant aspects of ISO AS9001 as it relates to our business needs and our client requirements. We will continually improve our efficiency and service to satisfy our customers needs, through internal audits and reviews and by encouraging feedback from all stakeholders. Our Quality, Health & Safety, Environmental and Rehabilitation policies are reviewed at least once every year.

Training
KIER recognises that employees who are given good training opportunities work safer, are more effective and are more satisfied with their jobs. Therefore, we endeavour to invest in and provide the highest standards of training to all employees.This includes Work Health & Safety, quality and environmental awareness as well as specific tuition to improve performance and increase specific skill sets.
We ensure that everybody within the company has the necessary qualifications to comply with WorkCover regulations governing specialised activities such as working in confined spaces and plant operation. Our personnel also receive up to date training in First-Aid.

Insurances
KIER fulfils its Work Cover responsibilities with a Workers Compensation Insurance Policy that covers all employees. In addition KIER carries Plant & Machinery, Professional Indemnity insurance as well as Public Liability Insurance up to $20,000,000.
